The Austin Postal Customer Council ("Austin PCC," "we," "us") operates the website pccaustin.org. Austin PCC is a program of the United States Postal Service administered by a local volunteer board of directors.

When you create an account or interact with our site, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, company/organization name
- Payment information: processed securely by PayPal. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.
- Usage data: pages visited, event RSVPs, and membership status

- To manage your membership and process dues payments
- To register you for events and send event confirmations
- To display your profile in the member directory (subject to your privacy settings)

Member Directory & Privacy Controls
Active and postal members appear in the member directory. You control what other members can see through your Privacy Settings:
- You can hide your contact information (phone, mailing address) from other members
- You can hide your company profile from the directory
- Board members can always view full member records for administrative purposes
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data with:
- PayPal: to process membership dues and event fee payments
- Resend: to deliver transactional and organizational emails on our behalf
- USPS: aggregate membership statistics as part of the national PCC program (no individual contact details)
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the website to function:
- Session cookie: maintains your login session while you are signed in
- CSRF token: protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and provide a cookie consent mechanism.
Data Retention
Member accounts are retained indefinitely to preserve organizational history and payment records. You may request deletion of your account by contacting the board. Payment records may be retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment processing is handled entirely by PayPal's secure infrastructure.
Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Update your profile and privacy settings through your member portal
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Opt out of non-essential email communications
